The thing about white privilege is that white people don’t see it. “White privilege” doesn’t mean your life hasn’t been hard, it simply means that your skin color isn’t one of the things making it harder.
This series is meant to share experiences of real people who have experienced racism and still experience it. The goal is to shine a light so that we ALL see it and take actionable steps to do something about it.
Tracy Oriyomi is a Financial Literacy Consultant with Wealthwave and has been in the Financial Services industry for 17 years. Her mission is to educate, inspire and empower women to make smart financial decisions because when you empower one woman, you empower a community. She is also a Health & Wellness advocate because she believes that Health is Wealth!
Due to the pandemic, Tracy was concerned about women owned businesses and started an online networking group called "Women in the Black" because as a result of being in financial services she discovered that many women are in the "Red" and she wants women to embrace "In the Black" living.
Tracy is an independent broker and currently resides in Powder Springs, GA where she is a member Toastmasters, Women's Prosperity Network, LEADS Club and Vice President of the Women's Ministry at her church. She is a native of Palmetto, FL, a wife, and a mother to two amazing young adults, K.J. & Kayla. Her motto is “ Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect”.
